Opening Weekend is Locked!

It's official, ski family! The snow guns have been roaring, the cats are purring, and the smell of fresh corduroy (and maybe a little bit of diesel) is in the air. The long wait is over. Get your gear ready, dust off those planks, and prepare to shred because we are firing up the lifts for our 2025/2026 season!

Here's your essential guide to our grand opening weekend, straight from the slopes of Slinger!

What's on the Slopes?

We anticipate having a fantastic starting spread, thanks to our tireless snow-making crew:

  • Trails: Death Valley, Big Deal, 41 Park (with some starting rail features), and our Beginner Area.
  • Lifts: The classic 1|2 Chair, 41 Park & Big Deal Rope Tows, as well as a conveyor carpet for the Learning Area.

Sun., Nov. 30: Open to the Public!

  • OPEN TO PUBLIC: 10 AM - 8 PM
    • Daily lift tickets are on sale! Come join the fun.
  • Bonus Snow? Forecasters are talking about 1-3 inches of natural snow coming down Saturday night into Sunday. We'll take it! Our snowmakers are great, but Mother Nature is the real MVP.

A Weeklong + Snowmaking Storm Is Coming

Monday, December 1 - Thursday, December 4: CLOSED

We know, we know—closing right after opening? Trust us on this one.

The forecast for the week after Thanksgiving is phenomenal: Highs in the 20s, lows in the teens. This is the golden ticket! We are handing the entire mountain over to our Mountain Ops team for a 24/7 Snowmaking Assault.

We are going to open the system wide-open to deliver the best surface possible. If this forecast holds, we could very well be 100% OPEN by the end of the week!

Re-Opening: Friday, December 5 @ 4 PM

We will re-open Friday afternoon. The later start gives our grooming teams time to push out all that new snow and add even more features to the park. After that, we kick into our normal daily operations!

What Else is New Around Little Switz?

Meet the New Guy (That’s Me!)

Hi, I'm Greg, your new General Manager, and I'm stoked to join the team! We are ready to deliver an exceptional season here in Slinger. For a little more about me (and my hopes and dreams), check out this interview I did recently with WTMJ (skip to the 16:00 mark if you don't want to listen to hunting stuff) or this interview I did here at Little Switz

The Chalet Glow-Up

When you walk into the Upper Chalet, stop, look around, and prepare to be amazed. We've been working tirelessly to update everything—tables, chairs, carpet, and booths—to create an ambiance that belongs in the Hall of Fame of Midwest Chalets. Shout-out to local designer Samantha Smith from Cedarburg! It looks fantastic in photos, but it's even better in person. Come check out our new vibe!

Mountain Magic & Machinery

  • Bigger Pipes, Bigger Air: Our team installed a new snowmaking pipe up 41 Park. This means more water, quicker firing, and a faster, better park for you!
  • The Beast Has Arrived: We recently took delivery of a brand new Prinoth _______ Grooming Machine (Yes, we got a new cat!). This monster gives us even more pushing power for that perfect, buttery-smooth snow surface.

The End of an Era (and the Start of a New One!)

Hold onto your helmets: I have a little secret to share Little Switz is excited to announce the replacement of the beloved (and a little bit quirky) 1|2 Chair with TWO Quads in the 2026/2027 season!  More to come on this in the very near future.  I just couldn't hold it back from you!

From our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving! We are truly thankful for all of you. We can't wait to see you out on the slopes. You'll definitely see me out there, and I'm looking forward to meeting so many of you.

See you in the snow!
